Teresa Schofield
Teresa is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and educator with roots in classical and commercial dance styles. She trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Lyrical techniques in Annapolis, Maryland, and went on to earn her B.A. in Dance and Environmental Science from Santa Clara University, where she studied with Pauline Kanter, Karyn Connell, Claire Calalo Berry, and Kristin Kusanovich. Her senior thesis production was advised by choreographer Robert Moses.
As a teacher, Teresa emphasizes strong technical foundations and clear class structure, offering adults the chance to reconnect with the rigor and joy of traditional dance training. Her contemporary classes are grounded in clean technique, musicality, and expressive performance—inviting dancers to move fully, confidently, and with purpose.
Outside the studio, Teresa works in sustainable finance, practices circus arts, and enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and exploring everything the Bay Area has to offer.
